After our house was made, we all watched the First Presidency Christmas Devotional. The kids weren't all that enthusiastic about sitting still, so they wandered upstairs and put some finishing touches on the gingerbread house. Maddie put a cinnamon Santa on the roof (where he belongs!) and then proceeded to pick candies off the house and eat them. I told her that if she wasn't careful a mean old witch would come out of the house and try to get her and shove her in the oven. Parks immediately went over to the gingerbread house and tried to peer inside and catch a glimpse of the witch. He was very relieved when I explained that no witch was inhabiting our gingerbread house. All in all, it was a great night.

Christmas is coming
and we have no goose, so I'm certain it's not getting fat. What I am certain of is that my children are SO excited about Christmas. We've been doing lots of things to help get us in the holiday mood. Last night we decorated a gingerbread house. We've never done this before and it was fun to see the kids get so excited about being creative with frosting and candy.
