10 years and counting

Ten years ago today Aaron and I got married. Crazy! I was twenty years old (twenty!). That seems so young now, but at the time there wasn't even any question in my mind. We were so in love. It took awhile to get to that point though. Our first date was to the Glen Miller Band dinner and dance. Here we are looking oh so cute:
We were in the same student ward in college, but didn't even notice each other for the first 6 months or so. I was seriously enamored with him after our first date. He was such a gentleman and I had a great time. We continued dating on and off for several months. I'm sure Aaron was sick of me after awhile. I kept breaking up with him because I wasn't sure I was ready for a "serious" relationship. And I was waiting for a missionary. Anyway, I'm pretty sure we went through about 3 or 4 cycles of dating/breaking up/getting back together. It's a wonder Aaron put up with me that long.

Finally I got a talking to from a number of people telling me I needed to decide one way or the other. I couldn't just string Aaron along like that any longer. So I got serious about asking and praying and I got my answer- very clearly. Aaron was the one for me. From then on out, there was never any question in my mind. We were engaged about 5 months after our first date and we were married 3 months after that. It still seems crazy to think that everything happened so fast, but we couldn't have been happier. The last ten years haven't been the easiest or the most dreamy, they've just been filled with life and its ups and downs. There have been good times and bad times, but I'm so glad Aaron's been there with me through it all. Happy Anniversary Aaron. I love you!
