Fall

What a great time of year. I read a poem in our local paper yesterday that I really like in regards to fall:

“The Flavor of Fall”
by Delia L. Weeder
I tasted Autumn yesterday!
How hungry I had been
to feel my flesh against the earth
and count the clouds again.

Around me all things whispered Fall,
the crisp air with a hint of chill
that spoke of Winter on its way
and bid to Summer’s warmth Farewell.

The golden leaves, blown here and there,
still moist from gentle morning dew,
made soft, sweet beds to rest upon.
Time stood still; contentment grew.

Huge, sprawling branches, barren, brown,
meshed overhead to give me shade
while gentle sunbeams danced around
on leafbeds where my daydreams played.

I tasted Autumn yesterday!
I floated with its soothing breeze.
My Spirit was made whole again
as Autumn tasted me.

In our attempt to capture what little was left of the fall leaves, we went up a nearby canyon this week. Sadly, there wasn't much left of the fall colors, but we still enjoyed it, nonetheless.

What little cuties. Looks like a great time playing in the leaves. Your Parks looks so much like a Cameron to me. They are darling.
