I have cut Parks hair since he was born. He's always had a lot of hair and it's always been a sort of bowl cut. It's always been cute and floppy and I've usually liked it. It's worked out OK...until now.
We had hair-cutting night last night. I cut Aaron's hair (finally), and things were going just fine until something happened with Parks. I don't know if it's because he was having a hard time sitting still, or if the clippers just got away from me or what, but this is how his haircut turned out:

I just feel awful. His dad is embarrassed for him and is thanking his lucky stars I didn't do it to his hair. I know it will grow out and in a few months and it will be fine. But I can feel guilty about it until then, right? Usually it's the kids that ruin their own hair with scissors or something, but I can blame no one but myself. Poor kid. At least he doesn't know any different. Every time I see him I just laugh, in a sorrowful sort of way. My mom said you learn how to cut hair by doing it. So I've learned something from this: Don't cut Parks hair ever again. Ah well, he's still cute, right?

Don't stop now! We all have bumps in the road and the fact that you can cut hair at all is absolutely amazing. Plus, all I see is his adorable little smile.
Maybe I should tell you about the time I cut my ex-fiance's hair, oh it was so so so so bad. Do you remember Patrick? Well, he was in the National Guard and he had to have his hair cut a certain way, sides shaved, hair on top optional. He wanted a trim on the top, but to keep it a little longer - kind of like the bowl cut style. Anyway, it ended up as something much more horrible. So that's why I don't attempt to cut hair anymore. lol!
Yip you are right he is nothing but adorable. I love that you cut his hair, everybody deserves at least one bad cut. Maybe I will send my hubby over. He needs a haircut and I HATE cutting it for him. It stresses me right to the max.
I think P. looks adorable, and I am glad you can laugh about it. It shows how much character you have.
He is ABSOLUTELY still cute. Honestly, in the picture, I wouldn't have noticed anything out of place. Seriously, just an adorable little face and darling smile. You know he still loves you bunches.
It was wonderful to read all of your blog today. Where we are so far apart and don't communicate all that often, I loved seeing into your family! ;)
I forgot to mention that Parks' hair is adorable! I wouldn't have noticed a thing if you hadn't said something! Give Aaron, Parks, Maddie and yourself our love.
