Alright, so I was on a pretty good blogging streak for awhile there, eh? I was really trying to keep at it. You know, like an every other day kind of thing. But then I didn't. Oops. So here's some random stuff.
Maddie started dance class this week. I'm sure most little girls are well on their way to an illustrious dance career by age 4, but I just couldn't start her any earlier. Dance is just one step closer to gymnastics and I'm just not sure I want to go there yet. She did have fun bee-boppin around to "I Want Can-day". Believe you me, she knows that song pa-retty darn well now. However, she refuses to wear a dance leotard like all the other girls. Sigh. I believe I've got a bit of a non-conformist on my hands.
Both Parks and Maddie started Fall soccer last week. As you can see, they take it very seriously.
This is a new thing for us; multiple little people playing multiple sports during multiple seasons. It makes life dang busy. I think we have 2 free nights a week. But it's better than sitting on the couch, right? Right??!! Tell me it's better than sitting on the couch, because when I sit there watching Maddie stare into the sky for 45 minutes, the couch sounds pretty appealing. At least they look cute in their uniforms.
Hey look
Yup, that's our van. Doesn't it look so much better? I think so too! Plus it's even detailed inside and out. It's like a brand spankin' new van landed right in our driveway. I'm diggin it. Although I have to say, I kind of had fun driving the little rental car we had while the van was otherwise occupied. I forgot what it was like to drive a vehicle smaller than a hippo. Alright, not a good comparison. I guess what I mean is, it was nice for a few days, but I'm glad to have good ol' reliable...Sally? Sugar? Safflower? ...huh...guess we haven't christened the van with a name yet. Do you have any good suggestions for a van starting with "S"? Anyway, I'm glad to be vanning it up again.
