Weekly Update

In brief, here's what happened last week:

-We refinanced our mortgage saving us 2 percentage points. One bright spot in the struggling economy, I suppose.

-Maddie tried out a new hairdo. Cindy Loo-Who, watch out!


-A dog bit me in the leg. I guess I'm scary or something because he sure didn't like me. I'm OK and I'll heal up fine. The dog didn't fare so well. His owners decided to put him down so that he won't attack again. I'll spare you the gory pictures.

-The dog bite seemed to be somewhat beneficial as I ran a neighborhood 5K the next day in about 30 minutes. That's my fastest 5K so far. Maybe the dog bite gave me magical powers.

-We were able to visit family for a fun birthday party. Maddie was showered with gifts, as was her cousin Mike.

We also launched decorated balloons in cousin Josh's honor as his birthday is also this month.



The kids also got some valuable grandma and grandpa time which they loved.
