Random News at the W's

Here are some random things going on at our house lately:

-Aaron started the P90X program. 3 days down, and so far so good. According to the infomercial, after 90 days he should look like this (pretty cool, huh):
-For some reason I thought I could "adjust" our treadmill. And like a bad chiropractor, that little adjustment ended up sabotaging the poor thing. So for now, my running workouts are of the outside variety.

-Speaking of running, this Saturday is the first in a series of races that should take me through April. I'm hoping I don't turn into a snowperson. Brrr.

-In an effort to be more healthy, we're trying to purge sugar from our house. The process has involved me scouring the house for anything that could possibly have even the smallest bit of sugar in it. Chocolate chips, Valentine's candy from last year, gum even. When I find it, I eat it. Then our house is a little bit closer to being sugar-free. :)

-Maddie has taken to calling me "hon", while Parks' favorite name for his mother is "sweetie", usually pronounced, "sa-weetie". Honestly, where do they pick this up?

-We have recently (as in, yesterday) implemented a commission system at our house. Parks is ecstatic that he will be able to earn 50 cents a week for doing his chores. He has been so into cleaning things in order to earn stickers and nickels, that he can hardly think about anything else. Why didn't we think of this sooner?

-Maddie has given up her mid-day naps. I would be upset by this fact, since I need naps almost as much as she does, but she's completely potty-trained now, so that somehow makes up for the no naps thing.

So that's the news from the W's. How's that for random?

I am doing P90X too. My brother and my husband both looked AWESOME after doing it. Tell your hubby to stick to it...it's hard. Don't cheat and he will LOVE the results. I hope I am strong enough. Sugar is a problem for me too.

No way. I have P90X and it is so freaking hard. Me and my sisters are trying to do it, but we suck. We have never done it consistently so our results will come a lot slower than they are supposed to. I swear I am going to feel comfortable in a swim suit this summer if it kills me (and it might).

Hey Megan! Love the BLOG!! I have been training lately for a 1/2 marathon. I know you said you had done one before. Do you have any pointers? I am not very far into training only about 2 miles. Pretty sad since the race is in June. Good luck on your race. I hope you are planning to do the Hyrum 5K on March 7th. I know its lame, but so much fun too!

I love the random. I am cracking up about the Px90 or whatever that cool program is. We have exciting random news too, so stay posted to find out what it is. But I think A. and the kids will be pretty excited about it. It might involve gathering up eggs.
