Thursday Thought

I've been able to read and participate in some really great uplifting stuff lately. I thought Thursdays would be a great day to share a little. So here's a quote from Sheri Dew's latest book, God Wants a Powerful People:

"The Lord seems to have set no limits on what He is willing to teach us and give us. We are the only ones who set limits- through our neglect or disobedience or ignorance. We are in large measure the ones who determine what we will learn and experience in mortality, and what we will receive eternally. (Alma 42:27)"

I really liked this because I find it's a lot easier to blame others, or circumstances, or situations for the progression we are or are not making. This quote basically says our eternal rewards are in our own hands and that the Lord will teach us and give us anything if we ask, worthily. This thought has really given me an improved outlook on my life and my part in it.

What a grreat reminder. It's up to me for what I receive from Heavenly Father. So why am I so lazy sometimes? Hmm, something to think on.
