Maybe I'm naive but I never realized how much was out there on the Internet. OK, I knew everything under the sun is on the Internet, but I am really amazed and impressed by how helpful it can be.
For a few months now I've been using Google Reader. It's an RSS Reader (whatever that means-I read this article and I still can't remember what RSS stands for). All I know is it tells me when any of my favorite blogs or websites have been updated. Usually when you see this graphic it means you can get regular updates from that site on your RSS Reader. Google Reader also gives me recommendations to blogs I might be interested in. I found it very ironic that it recommended the blogs of two people whom I already knew in real life! It's great. No more clicking to see if someone's posted a big announcement on their blog, or waiting patiently for a good price on something on Craigslist. I love it when the Internet is your friend.

I've also recently learned about all the free podcasts that are out there. I've found some great ones from public radio that you can download and listen to on your mp3 player or computer. Every once in awhile I ditch my music in exchange for podcasts while I run. It really makes the time pass fast. Most of the time technology can really frustrate me, but every once in awhile, it really knocks my socks off.

i KNOW!! it's crazy! one day though, i will get my very one ipod, so i can listen to all my podcasts while i run, instead of on my computer while i clean bathrooms.
there is no way i could keep up with blogs if it weren't for the little orange button. i love it too.
