There's been a death in the family

Parks' beloved beta fish Blue has been sent to his watery grave down the sewer pipes. Blue is survived by his owner Parks, and Parks' dad, Aaron (Mom and Maddie are kind of glad he's gone).


Funeral services were held Sunday after church and lasted about 3o seconds. He was a good fish and never asked for much, but never gave much either. He enjoyed hiding in his plastic ferns and skittering every time you touched the tank. He wasn't much of an eater, which probably ultimately led to his death. Parks doesn't really seem to care that his companion of nearly 15 months is gone. As we flushed him down, he said, "Have fun in the pipes!" I'm sure he will, Parks, I'm sure he will.
