Playing catch-up

There are several things I've been avoiding blogging about because I didn't seem to have time to create the perfect post for them. So that I don't procrastinate any further, here's a quick update on things that have been happening lately.



*Mom had her birthday. This was on the same day as Trent's big ol' long bike ride. We had a quick BBQ get-together at our house to celebrate. It was fun. I'm sure the PedEgg was her favorite present EVER!


*Aaron (my brother) and Shannon were married July 5th. It was a beautiful wedding and a wonderful day. We were able to fly out to Wisconsin to be there for the wedding. The people were all so friendly and fun. And I'm so jealous that they don't have to water their lawns there. I'm so glad that Shannon and Anthony are now an "official" part of our family. We love them and we know that Aaron, Shannon, and Anthony will be so happy together.



*While Aaron and I were in Wisconsin, Parks and Maddie got to stay with Grandma and Grandpa W over the 4th of July. The LOVED it! They had so much fun playing with cousins and watching parades and everything. I'm sure they would have stayed another week if we let them.


*This past weekend Aaron and Shannon held a reception at Mom's house. It was really fun. We also had a big group family picture taken. This was the first time in a long time that all 5 kids (and spouses and kids) were in one place at the same time. It will be a long time until that happens again with Brendon and DeNae in Colorado and Aaron and Shannon and Anthony moving to Wisconsin. It was a great weekend.
